APOLOGIZES TO PEPYS
All the morning in bed. At eleven
up and to church the first time I ever
did this, this year at Chapel Hill, and
seeing the choir, did, with repentant
and lowly heart, resolve more often
to worship.
Thence to ye olde Goody Shop and
eating coffee and hamburg, did here
on the brass drums at Ga. Tech
one wordy lad relate how they played
while center called the signals. A
blessed good idea me thought me to
use at Chapel Hill to good advantage
when we play Trinity next year.
. Swain to dinner. Did have the old
palpitation today when I saw the
turkey. My Lord! what an expense it
was. Having been pessimist since Fair
Week did set my heart and pocket
book m readiness for one horrible as
sessment. Did loaf all this afternoon
drinking dopes and noting travellers
returning in high spirits and low fi
nances and hearing how auto drivers
did turn highwaymen and hold up the
student boys who scorned the dinkey,
Did up to certain fellow's room and
bull philosophy whether a stick infite
in length, being diviued into two equal
parts, would if the dividing point be
shifted half a mile still be equally
divided. Have lost another friend.
So home and asked Benny if he had
a good time in Durham and he asked
me if I had a good time in Swan
Quarter and we had both had one
heluva good time and then we wept
over the football game some and so
to bed smelling the turkey hash cook
ing at Swain for breakfast.
