Plans for just such a , social were under way at the Phi Delt house when one of the brothers received an unexpected invitation from his uncle. The victim, Ted McLaughlin of Armiston, Ala, left immediately for a short stay in the Marine Corps. "Faux pas" department Mem bers of the Order of the Golden Bear gathered at the Rathskellar on Monday night to pay final trib ute to Bartender Jim Mills, who leaves today for the Air Force . Everyone was in gay spirits and a lovely time was had by all all, that is, except Mills, who fail ed to show up for the gala affair. Going beachward this weekend are the Delta Psi's and the Pi Lams. The St. Anthony's Hall boys will head for Long Beach, and the Pi Lams will visit Bill Kingoff at Wrightsville. Familiar Footprints . . . Visit ing at the Tri Delt house last weekend were Jo Ann Culler, Helen Hamilton, and Tink Gobbel ADPi visitors included President Jacque Quesenbery, en route to the ADPi Centennial at Macon, Ga., and LeNeve Hodges. KA Guy Kirby, now m the Air Force, paid respects to the brothers last week end, while on his way to Monte rey, Calif. Recently wed Sigma Chi Ted Leonard and wife Sue returned to Chapel Hill last week. Ted is attending Law School, and Sue plans to enroll as a junior in the University next fall. According to Zinat, the most noticable difference is the existence of fraternities and so rorities. She had no knowledge of them. Zinat's family is very close. She has two brothers, aged 15 and 18, and an older sister who graduated from the University of Wisconsin this year. Both she and her sister came to America on scholarships. Zinat likes Carolina very much. The students' friendliness con tinues to amaze her. She sums us up by saying, "I can sit in a chair and perfect strangers come up and talk to me as if they had always known me."
