' According to Thompson, "Mon day night's rally is being organ ized for the benefit of new stu dents and the Student Party out look on self-government at Caro lina will be presented". First speaker at the rally will be newsman Chuck Hauser who will give an anylysis of the cam pus political scene. During last spring's nominations, Hauser was endorsed for the editorship of The Daily Tar Heel by all three parties but later declined the office for academic reasons. Al Lowenstein, longtime leader in the S. P., whom political foes have accused of being the "boss" of. the S. P., will discuss the "history and philosophy of the Student Party". Lowenstein was one- of the writ ers of the student constitution. In his race for the vice-presidency last May, he lost by 22 votes. Recent Student Party accom plishments and plans of the S. P. administration for this year will be the topic of President Mackie's speech. An open business meeting for the purpose of recommending re placements for three vacancies in Student Government has been called by Thompson following the talks. Choral Clubs Set Week's Meetings The Chapel, Hill Choral Club will hold its first meeting of the year tomorrow night at 7:30 in Hill Hall. During the meeting the group will practice Bach's Cantata No. 41, "Now Join We All To Praise Thee," and Schubert's "Mass In E-Flat." Both of these numbers will be performed during the first week of the winter quarter. The club invites all former members as well as anyone else interested in joining to be pres ent.
