It was 10 o'clock before the

was Dr. Weizsacker who first
proposed a detailed system of
nuclear reactions to account for
the source of energy in the sun
and stars.
Tomorrow afternoon Dr. Weiz
sacker is to speak at a mathe
matics seminar here on "The
Role of the Pythagorean Theorem
in the Conceptual Structure of
Physics." Tomorrow night he will
address a Carolina-Duke Col
loquium on "The Evolution of
Stars and Galaxies" at Duke Uni

Dr. Weizsacker has been at the
University of Chicago for six
months where he is the Alexan
der White Visiting Professor,
lecturing .on the philosophy of
science and physics. His book,
"The World View of Physics"
was published , by the University
of Chicago Press this year.
Graham Jones, was finally sent
to the joint Di-Phi Award Com
mittee for approval. , .
Since the Dialectic Senate al
most unanimously approved John
Motley Morehead for the award
which goes to "an outstanding
alumnus who has distinguished
himself, in his field of endeavor,"
a joint session of the two debat
ing societies will probably be
held in the near future to make
a choice between -Morehead and
Warren.
Included on tonightV business
agenda is the election of a new
treasurer for the Assembly.
Treasurer-elect Walter Mont
gomery presented his resignation
to Speaker Jones because of "lab
oratory conflicts."
