Coach John Kenfisld's Carolina netters were too much for Coach Jack Kcnfield's N. C. State tennis team, whipping the lads from Raleigh 8-0 in a long match hampered by frequent rains. Although the team score in dicates a decisive triumph for the locals, individual play was close in several matches and the out classed visitors took four sets from the Tar Heels. Del Sylvia, Heath Alexander, and Bill Izlar all dropped a set to their opponents in singles play before coming through. The num ber one doubles team of Sylvia and Alexander failed to finish their match with State's Ragan ; and Skeen when darkness pre vented their finishing a 5-5 third set. 1, Overall it was a sluggish after noon for the Tar Heels, with only one player scoring a clear-cut decisive victory.
