v tai; 1 IKKL KD Initiation, Installation Ceremonies Take Place Thirteen coeds became chaiter members of Beta Chi chapter Kappa Delta sorority in istalla tion ceremonies held this week end. Formal initiation ceremonies were held Saturday afternoon in Graham Memorial with Duke chapter attending. The chapter, was formally installed and re ceived its charter at a banquet Saturday night in Lenoir Hall. A reception Sunday afternoon for faculty, students, and friends was held from 3 to 5 o'clock at the Carolina Inn. Nancy Knighten and Rosa May Savage, Kappa Delta's from Southwestern University and Wil liam and Mary, assisted the Caro lina group in preparing for the installation. Both are now enroll ed in the University. Next fall members of the chap ter will move into their house at 219 Franklin St. with Mrs. Eloise Hurysz as housemother. Kappa Delta, founded at Long wood College, Farmville, Va., has almost 700 state alumnae with organized associatoins in Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro, Durham, and Fayetteville. Gwen Gore, chapter secretary, will represent the group at the biennial national convention June 25-29 in Pasadena, California. Chapel Hill alumnae include Mrs. M. B. Garrett, Mrs. K. C.
