Dl DEBATES
The Dialectic Senate defeated a
bill Tuesday night that would
have abolished, the United States
Senate. The Senators killed the
measure 14-2 on a voice vote.
The bill, introduced by Larry
McElroy, described the nation's
highest legislative body as "un
necessary" since the needs which
it was created to meet are "no
longer pressing."
In opposing the main bill, Tur
ner described the western parts of
the United States as "grouped
around one big roulette wheel."
