MUSIC LECTURE Music in 13th Century Spain will be discussed by Prof. John E. Kel ler at a meeting tomorrow night of the American Musicologieal Soc iety's southeastern chapter. Prof. Keller will speak at 8 p. m. in 103 Hill Hall on the "Canticles" of King Alfonso. The talk will be illustrated with color slides. "Al fonso the Wise" had the manuscript prepared to show more than 400 miracles of the Virgin Mary, with a song of music and verse accom panying each picture. The ' Canticles" manuscript is kept at the Escorial near Madrid, Spain, where Dr. Keller arranged to have the color slides made. Chapel Hill for two months on gra vitation, relativity and related in fluences in connection with artific ial earth satellies and atomic clocks, is lecturing four times at UNC and Duke University during the month of February. Dr. Christian Moller of the Uni versity of Copenhagen spoke first on Monday at a seminar in the Physics Department at Phillips Hall heret. Dr. Moller's research at UNC is sponsored by the Institute of Field Physics, a project which is private ly financed and undertakes to pur sue studies in gravitation, particul arly in areas in which Albert Ein stein was performing research at the time of his death. Dr. Moller's study deals with gravitational waves. He also studies energy den sity, whether it is unique and whether a similar thing can be done with momentum energy. He is in vestigating the implications of these results for the quantization of the gravitational fields. Other lectures by Dr. Moller in the theortical seminars and the Joint Duke-Carolina Physics Col loquium are Feb. 5 at Duke, Feb. In his work here, Dr. Moller is associated with the research team of Dr. Bryce DeWitt and Dr. Cecile DeWitt, who head the Institute of Field Physics. Established last fall in Copen hagen NORDITA was planned to facilitate close cooperation between universities in the parent countries and to provide opportunities for advanced theoretical study for post doctoral physicists. ics) started its work in Copenhagen after the Theoretical Study Group of CERN there was moved to Geneva.
