Carlyle Sit terson announced today. Melott, a native of Steubensville, Ohio, received his B.S. degree in 1958 from the U.S. Military Academy and his LL.B. with Honors in 1965 from the University of North Carolina School of Law. In addition to his private practice, Melott has been a visiting lecturer at UNC and a special agent for the FBI. He is a member of the Order of the Coif.
