That's the enthusiastic evaluation of Ernie Greup, director of public af fairs at Durham television sta tion WTVD, toward the third annual WTVD state collegiate track championships to be run Friday and Saturday af ternoons at Wallace Wade Stadium. "We look forward to this becoming a truly great meet," said Greup. "We expect 18 North Carolina colleges -and participate more than at any past time." Heading the list of returning schools are of course North Carolina and Duke. The two teams were one-two in the 1967 finish and the Tar Heels downed Duke 74-71 in a dual meet on the same track earlier this season. The meet was first run at Duke Stadium in May 1966. Records also are likely to fall in the 440 and mile relays in the 880 and mile runs, and . in several of the field events.
