One of the books published, . : "Edgar Cayce, The Sleeping Prophet," by Jess Stern, sold more than two million copies. Puryear, currently national director of Education for the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE), is a ?c UNC alumnus. He received his k post-doctoral research training at the National Institute of Mental Health. He has conducted research on sleep and , , dreams and has had special study in the ,v area of personality theory, .L psychotherapy, the psychology of religion and psychical research. V j The lecture, sponsored by the Chapel Hill Cayce study group, is open to the public. Admission is free. Ring showing today in Union Alpha Phi Omega (APQ) service fraternity will sponsor a ring showing and sale today and Wednesday from: 9 to 4 p.m. in the lobby of the Carolina Union. Students in the classes of 1971 and 1972 and the Pharmacy class of 1973 are eligible to order the rings. A representative of the Balfour Ring Co. will be on hand to show samples and distribute brochures. A deposit may be made at that time or the price may be paid in full. Ring delivery will take eight to 10 weeks, according to John Mallard, APO ring sale chairman. All profits made by APO will go to the Bernard Grail APO Scholarship Fund. The next major ring showing and sale will take place next fall. Union sponsoring Nassau trip The Carolina Union and Duke University Union will jointly sponsor a spring trip to Nassau March 27 through April 3. In order for the trip to go, there must be 1 27 participants, with a minimum of 40 persons from both Duke and UNC. The trip is available for students, faculty and staff and their immediate families. The price of the trip is based on triple occupancy, however, double occupancy is available at an additional charge. The Flagler also offers a modified American plan (full breakfast and buffet dinner) for 56 per person per day. Debate slated on socialism A debate has been scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday in Gerrard Hall between the Conservative Society and three representatives of socialist organizations. The topic of the debate will be "Resolved: There Should Be a Socialist Revolution in the United States." Tom Benton and Harvey Harkness, two law students, and Chris Kopff, a classics graduate student, will represent the Conservative Society.
