One of those temporary buildings, located behind Emerson field, fell Tuesday. The final destruction (1.) obliterates part of campus history. Interested UNC students are invited to attend. "With the onset of spring each senior must ask himself 'what am I going to do next year?' " said conference chairman Marie Fortune. The keynote address, "A Redefinition of Vocation in the Context of Social Change," will be delivered by Paul Cowan, author of "The Making of an Un-American," tonight at 8 p.m. in the New Chemistry Auditorium. Panelists will include Henry Clark, a religion professor at Duke; Harrison Wellford, an assistant to consumer advocate Ralph Nader; and Bill Geimer, "deputy director of VISTA. A second dimenstion of the conference deals with specific job opportunities. Workshops will be held in the vocational areas of media, medicine, law, education, social work, higher education, religion and collectives. In addition, recruiters from VISTA, American Friends Service, Peace Corps and the National Council of Churches will be on campus as part of the Conference . program....--. ( - ... ..... Thursday., a conference . for women entitled, 'Beyond the- ''Professional 'Woman': Problems of Women's Vocational Identity" will be held at noon in 101 Duke Student Union. A panel discussion on "Integration of Vocation and Life-Style: Counter-Cultural Alternatives" will conclude the conference at 8 p.m. Friday in the New Chemistry Auditorium. Humor of W;B. Yeats is talk subject Dr. Vivan Mercier will discuss "The Humor of W.B. Yeats" at 8:30 p.m. March 17 in 101 Greenlaw. The lecture, sponsored by the English department and English club, is open to the public. Mercier is a professor of English at the University of Colorado. The 21st annual North Carolina Conference on World Affairs has as its theme 'The U.S. Military-Industrial Complex: Fact or Fiction." A critic of the defense establishment and a Defense Department representative have been asked to present facts and their interpretation of the facts. Dr. Loy Witherspoon, president of the 1 James D. Sink, a UNC junior has been selected to receive a Reynolds Scholarship for study at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine. He is one, of eight North Carolina students accepted for enrollment at the medical school in September who were named Reynolds Scholars. The scholarship program, sponsored by the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, will provide each of the recipients $18,000 during four years of medical school. Selection of the scholars is made by the medical school's committee on admissions on the basis of character, scholarship, potential as physicians and financial need.
