Monday, October 13, 1971 Jh Dsilv Tar HH Carr reviews PBS special best best The blockbuster movies are over, the big name guests have gone back to whatever big names do, and television is settling back into its nit for the 1971-72 season. There are, however, a few interesting programs this week, with Channel 4's Full Circle special tonight shaping up as the best. Full Circle, which begins at 8, will feature a half-hour of Cat Stevens followed by a unrehearsed hour of Leon Russel doing both his own songs like "Delta Lady," and others such as "Honky Tonk Women." Russell will be appearing at both State and Duke during the next month, and if you're wondering whether r or not to see him, this may help you decide. ABC's football game tonight has the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Pittsburg Steelers in an AFC contest. After the game Channel 5 will show an unlikely Sherlock Holms movie, "Spider Woman." One of the classic movies of all time. "Public Enemy," is scheduled for 5:30 Tuesday afternoon on Channel 2. Made in 1931, "Public Enemy" was only the second gangster movie ever made (after "Little Caesar") and it was the first of the long line of Warner Brothers films in this genre that later immortalized Bogart, Cagney and Raft. James Cagney is the star of "Public HONEY'S Chicken & Dumplings Special; Salad, Rolls & Butter, Tea or Coffee $1.29 Everyday Special All Day Short Stack of Pancakes with syrup, butter and coffee 39 New Hours - 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sun. - Thurs. Al Capcr.e was moved to remark that "they ought to take them all out and throw them in a lake. They're doing nothing but harm to the younger element of this cour.tr'." Johnny Carson is taking still another week off, and his replacement will be Joey Bishop. Dick Cavett is continuing his one-guest interview approach this week, devoting Tuesday to Jack Le: i 'eryjr.-ii and Wednesday to his closs friend, Woody Allen. If you missed "Duel at Dable" Saturday night, there are a couple cf more duels being offered locally this week. "Duel in the Jungle" is Channel &'s Friday aftemooon movie, while Channel 28 counterprograms that same afternoon with "Duel in Durange." Touche.
