Forward Barry Armetti was on top of
the ball as soon as the kick was awarded
and sent it over the Tar Heel defensive
wall into the net. untouched by 3 UNC
player. Bennett seemed surprised b the
whole thing.
Carolina fell behind 4-0 late in the
second period on still another unusual
incident, this one leaving Bennett badly
injured.
Bennett dove for the ball a few yards
in front of his own goal, but he was
kicked in the face by an opposing player

shot that hit the top of the goal and
caromed straight down where freshman
David Taylor headed it in.
Trenton's defense held for the game's
lust five minutes, dropping Carolina's
season record to 5-2-1. The triumph gave
Trenton a sparkling 7-2 slate.
Despite the loss, the Tar Heels outshot
the victors. 13-11, and held a 7-5 edge in
corner kicks. Each team made three saves.

Daily Tar Heei will not be responsible
