Steinberg said, "we propose five cent pinbalL" "Awwww hell this Blue Sky Party is soaring. one inebriated' convention participant bellowed during the Party's Tuesday night in Town Hall. Throughout the combination talent show nominating convention, alcohol kept the party well-biled and running smoothly. The talent show, headlined by Delmar Williams rendition of "Popcorn (which he does by knocking his teeth together) and Lance Woodring's Nixon imitation, met with cheering and applause from an enthusiastic audience of more than 1 50. When Steinberg called for a vote on the pinball proposal. Town Hall resounded with a cheer that could have easily registered on the Richter earthquake scale. The platform's other points include building a dome over the entire campus, "to keep out inclement weather, and barring cars from campus to prevent pollution under the dome. Horses, Steinberg said, would be issued to every student A plan to replace the desks in South Building with handball courts was also announced. Woodring was announced as the party's "favorite son" candidate for student body president. Williams confirmed rumors he will run for both student body president and DTH editor. And Tom Wright, already an announced candidate for DTH editor, was endorsed as a Blue Sky candidate. Woodring, a sophomore, centered his proposals on corruption in office. "1 plan to set up a public slush fund and make my corruption well known," he said He promised, if elected, to knock down the walls of student government offices and tum the area into a' swimming pool. Williams, who indicated he went along" with the party's platform, said, "I'm running for everything." In a telephone interview the next day, however, Williams said that he was at the meeting primarily to "entertain the crowd." and said his campaign would continue only on a write-in basis.
