Activities Today
The UNCCC Short Course presents
-Introduction to TSO (Time Sharing Option) at
TUCC at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in 228
Phillips Hall.
There will be a meeting of the Medical
Technology Club at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan.
27. in the Snack Bar of the Carolina Union. Final
plans for an allied health career seminar will be
made. All members please attend.
Come enjoy an evening of Christian fellowship
and learning "Growing in Grace," sponsored by
Campus Crusade for Christ. Meet from 7 p.m.
to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in the fourth floor
faculty lounge of Dey Hall. Everyone is welcome.
The Omega Ps5 Phi Fraternity will have a
"Smoker." at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in Room
205 of the Carolina Union. AU men interested in

WOMEN'S RUGBY? All women interested in
forming a rugby club should attend the meeting

Rugby: There will be an organizational meeting
of the UNC Rugby Club at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan.
27, in Room 202 of the Carolina Union. All those
interested in playing during the spring should
attend. Elections will be held and a movie shown.
The film, "The Magnificent Seven," the
American counterpart of "The Seven Samurai,"
will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in 100
Hamilton Hall. The film is a part of the campus
Jrpan-U.S. week.
The North Carolina Coastal Club will meet at
7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27. in the South Lounge
of the Carolina Union. Spring semester plans will
be discussed. All interested people are invited to
attend.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will
meet at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in Ehringhaus
Green Room. Anyone who can't come, remember
to meet at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, m the
Ramshead parking lot to go ice skating.
Discourse 77: "Safaris in East Africa," a slide
presentation by Julian Watney at 3:30 p.m.

Carolyceum's Social Dance Class meets

jazz ensemble
to play at UNC
The Bucknell Jazz and Rock Ensemble
(BJRE), a 25-member jazz band, will be
performing a free concert at 1 1 a.m. today in
the Great Hall of the Student Union.
The ensemble, which consists of five
trumpets, four trombones, six saxophones, a
six-person rhythm section and four
vocalists, has toured throughout the United
States and Europe.
In addition to the music of traditional jazz
bands (like Glenn Miller and Count Basie),
BJRE plays progressive jazz and many of
their own compositions.
