Terrell also said many UNC students hold a negative stereotype of fraternity men. "They see a couple of guys who dress alike and they generalize that all fraternity men dress alike," he said. Viewers in Chapel Hill can see the broadcast on WUNC-TV channel 4. The one-hour program. Election Special: U.S. Senate Primary, is sponsored by the League of Women Voters. The candidates, all hoping for the chance to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Jesse Helms in November, will be questioned by Ned Cline of The Charlotte Observer, Brenda Sommers of WPTF radio in Raleigh and Ted Harrison of WFMY-TV in Greensboro. This is the first broadcast in which all eight candidates have appeared together. The first televised forum was March 17, but only six candidates participated. The educational television network is also providing 30 minutes of free on-the-air time for each candidate, beginning at 7 p.m. today with state Sen. McNeill Smith. Former newspaper writer Joe Felmet will be on the air at 7 p.m. Wednesday, while state Sen. Lawrence Davis will speak to viewers at the same hour on Thursday.
