Today's Activities There will be a meeting of the Franklin Street Gourmet at 7 p.m. in the Frank Porter Graham Lounge of the Student Union. Restaurant reviewers are still needed, so everybody is welcome. For more information, call Frank or Bert at 968-9513. There will be volleyball every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in front of Bynum Hall. Chapel Hill Public Library presents two aviation films tonight at 7:30 p.m.: "To Fly," a view of the fun and history of aviation, and "Those Marvelous Miniatures," a look at the amazing variety of model aviation activities going on all over the country. To be shown free in the library meeting room. Tuesday The Outing Club will be meeting each Tuesday night at 7:00 in the Student Union. Need to polish your skills in interviewing? The Career Planning and Placement Office will offer a free, one hour Interviewing Workshop at 2 p.m. in 107 Hanes Hall. Students of all ages are invited. The Clogging Workshop will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the basement of the Chapel of the Cross (next to the Planetarium). Running Set and Mountain Circle Dancing. Everyone welcome. Free. Note: The workshop will not be held on July 4. Thursday The Career Planning and Placement Office will offer a one-hour workshop on Brass Tacks; an informal discussion session to share job-seeking experiences and to get feedback concerning strategies and problems, on Thursday, June 29, at 1:30 p.m. in 208 Hanes Hall. Items of Interest Thinking about career decisions? Centuring-Venturing, a three-part program on career planning, will be offered by the University Counseling Center on July 10, 17, and 24 from 7-10 p.m. Interested students can call 933 2175. WXYC needs persons interested in broadcast journalism to work on its news staff. Come by the station in the basement of the Carolina Union or call 933-6397. The Reading Program, located on the second floor of Phillips Annex, has spaces available for instruction in reading speed, reading comprehension, study skills, and preparation for graduate and professional school entrance exams. The program is open to students at all academic levels, as well as to faculty and staff members; instruction can be accommodated to the needs of the individual.
