In the NCNB Plaza Across from Blimpie's A Not long ago a policeman said to the writer "You better keep your eye on these kids, some of them will kill you". We quote from a letter from a lady who wrote: "I know we have a lot of fine young people, but we also have some of the meanest that ever lived, all about". From the following news Items it appears these folks knew what they were talking about. A morning's paper told of some young people In a car shooting others In another car. Another morning we read of a teenager killing another one with a knlfet Before that we were treated with the story of a boy going to a closet to get a tool to do some work for his father, but Instead of getting the tool he picked up a shotgun and killed his father! I think It was reported that he said he did not know why he did Itl Often In recent times we have heard of wholesale killings with the explanation: "I don't know why I did Itl" The follow ing might throw some tight on the matter Dante, In his vision and visit to hell on one occasion saw a man down there whom he knew to be alive on earth. The "Shade" explained to him that sometimes when a man got extra low down and vile and mean his soul Is carried down to hell before physical death, and a demon takes possession of his body and animates It on earth until Its time has run Its course a demon takes Its place In a body that walks, and sleeps and drinks, and puts on clothes, and goes about lying, stealing, killing, raping, and promoting the devil's business. Did you ever hear one ask the question: "Why don't God Got the munchies? Cure them with cookies, . cakes and other baked goods 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. today in the Pit. Proceeds go to BSM. Reckon maybe sometimes God answers back and says: "Why don't you kill him? Have I not told you to "Resist the devil" and "Give no place to the devil?" Have I not given you plenty of commands In My Word, pointing out circumstances and details, and the perilous results of disobedience? It appears you desire to have the devil 'abide with you always, even unto the end!' " The writer recalls reading when a boy about farmer shooting a boy he found up in his cherry tree. I suppose the reason I remember It so well Is on account of how It frightened me maybe not having enough scruples to keep me from doing the same thing If I was sure of getting by with It! In those days no one blamed the farmer, and no one sympathised with the boy to the extent of excusing or Jus tifying him he asked for It, and he got Itl Time and again you can hear God Almighty speaking In His Word about as follows: "Strike crime hard, that others may hear, and fear, and no more such evil!" True Christianity is warfare. When The Sword is drawn, The Sword of The Spirit, and used somebody Is going to get hurt! If you get killed God wlU raise you from the dead! If you get wounded The Lord will come with "Healing In His Wings!" Sometimes the Sword of The Spirit puts a "material steel sword" In the hands of some to keep la w and order, for It is not the will of God that there should be disorder and con fusion here below!
