4 The Daily Tar Heel Friday. November 17. 1978 iTAenaemon By GREGORY CLAY Staff Writer The best thing about Eddie Henderson's album Mahal is its innovation. The trumpet-flugelhorn player doesn't copy the big names like Maynard Ferguson and Chuck Mangione. The best selection, "Prance On," doesn't defy its title. It was composed by percussionist Mtume and is a jamming tune. And Henderson brings it all together with his mesmerising effort with his horn. "Amoroso" features Benny Maupinon tenor sax as well as Henderson's trumpet. It's a nice number helped by the quiet notes of Herbie Hancock's background piano. Quiz files help students tudj f of exams By CATHY ROBINSON Stan Writer Exam question one: Is there any place on campus wherestudentsxan look-at old tests, even final exams? Answer: Every student has access to several quiz files on campus which stock old tests from Anthro 41 to Chem 11. Old quizzes show what kinds of tests your professor prefers, such as objective or essay, and can be a helpful study guide. Open to all students is the Campus Quiz File maintained by the Student Government and housed in Suite C, Carolina Union. "The file is open any time Suite C is open," explains Bob Long, head of Academic Affairs. "We encourage students to come up and take a look." In John 6:44, etc. Jesus said "No man can come to me, except The Father which hath sent me draw him And they shall all be taught of Odd. Kunstler sees his role in the justice system primarily as one of reform. "The role of lawyers like myself is to try to expose that there is a mythology and there is a reality and try to make every case show the contradictions as broadly as possible." Kunstler said revolution sometimes is necessary to solve justice, but added that revolution means different things to different people. "Sometimes 1 think only an armed struggle will change the situation, and then sometimes 1 think an educated peaceful revolution would be best. The play is set in Harlem during the 1920s, when black culture was rediscovered and gained worldwide influence in the creative arts. The production depicts the effects this renaissance had on a typical street inhabited by European immigrants, West Indians and Southern blacks who had migrated to the North. Black entertainment was one of the liveliest attractions of the Harlem Renaissance period, and Great Jones Street highlights this cabaret lifestyle by including stories of the era's important black performers. Productions 84 under the direction of UNC English Professor J. Lee Greene, is an outgrowth of a course in black American literature. Great Jones Street is designed to be educational as well as entertaining in its attempt to simulate the creative arts of the Harlem Renaissance. The play is the result of a cooperative effort by several UNC students and faculty. Portions of the script were written by students end three of the musical numbers were arranged by an instrumentation class in the UNC music department. The premier performance is free and open to the public. Black Mountain Silver Handwrought Sterling Silver & Gold Jewelry Wedding Bands 504 W.
