The Que's, who defeated Kappa Psi Monday night, faced the PiKa PDT winner for the marbles. In residence hall, there was no Teague A or last year's winner, one of the varsity football team's entries. This year had three basketball upstarts. Everett, Granville CW and Craham joining defending residence hall point champ Lewis. In the women's competitive division, four of the five toughies of the year remained in contention. Top ranked Laurel Ridge-Old Well "Untouchables," P.E. The 'Rolling STOW's' by Ray Rhodes STOW Res. Coll. IM Coordinator The STOW area (Spencer. Triad. Old Well) is really roiling in Intramural sports. Mclver and Alderman are leading the way as both dorms placed teams in the semifinals of the women's rec basketball playoffs. , The Mclver 'M and M's" were led by Jane Keppel, Jan Blair, Debbie Flowers, Mary Ann House and Andrea Stumps. Alderman's "Ardvarks" were paced by captain Libby Neville, a dominating player. Alderman should also field a strong softball team, led by the second and third base duo of Mary Bruce and Cindy Leazer and star shortstop Beth Johnson. Mclver. which teamed with Manly for the Co-rec football championship, has also done well in bowling. The doubles teams of Pam Cox-Debbie Flowers and Robin Benton-Becky Walson look to be competitive. ' Tracy Turnbull. the IM manager at Kenan said her dorm will be led in softball by the Kenan "Kittens." The men's dorms in STOW have just completed basketball and are now turning to softball. The "Gene and Dean (Riddle) Show" filled up the baskets for the Carr "Cargoyles" gradind basketball team, along with some help from Tom Richardson. Old Easts "Bulldogs," like Carr's teams, made it to the quarterfinals in the basketball tournament. Kenny Edwards and Willie Lucas were the team's strongholds and it was nothing but string music from 25 feet for the two sharp shooters. Cameron "Disco" Burns was the enforcer on the inside. Jim'Mylett, the IM manager at Old West, stated his team lacked height to be competitive in residence hall basketball, but as usual. Old West should field strong softball outfits, "The-Team" and "Crand Master Flash." Old East has two teams in softball this season. The "Sox" are captained by John Ager and have a list of sluggers including Greg Creech, Scott Tate and Jack Cole. The Bulldog stars are Kevin Gardner and Otis Ayscue, who is affectionately called "The Babe" by his teammates. " Carr's softball entry, the "Thrashers" opened play this week.
