the Pit. The concert features the Jim Ketch Quartet,

Union Day, the Carolina Union sponsors a day long
celebration today in and around the Union. Among the
many fun activities featured will be a pizza eating con
test, a film trivia contest new wave musical chairs, an
ugly face contest, a dunking booth, body parting, an egg
toss and other such stuff. Come by the Union and find
out whafs happening.
Planetarium
Cosmic Light and Power, a tour of the universe, at 8
p.m. weekdays; at 11 a.m., 1, 3 and 8 p.m. Saturdays and
Art School Gallery Works by Richard Kinnaird,
Denis Zaborowski, Stephen White, John Menapace,
Celia Flock and others are on display. These works will
be included in the Art School's first benefit auction Sept
19.

porary Printmakers Exhibition, works by 21 artists who

Ackland Art Museum The Drawings of Andrea
Palladio, a major exhibition of the work of the great 16th
century Venetian architect opens Sunday and will be on
display through Nov. 1 . Facets V: Gilbert and George,
featuring the works of these two contemporary British
artists, opens Sunday in the Print Gallery and will be on
display through Oct. 18.
