Volleyball competition is winding down. Today is the deadline for captains to schedula csmes
for Monday and Tuesday, the last days of regular season play. Playoff conflicts are due Monday
and playoffs begin Nov. 30.
No changes in changed IM Point System
Despite seeing changes in the point system for the sec
ond time in three years, defending fraternity point
champion Delta Upsilon holds a slim lead in the newest
version of the IM point system.
With results in only tag football, table tennis and
track & field tabulated, DU has 450 points to Chi Phi's
445. PiKap sits at a distant third at 355 and Sig Ep, one
of the leaders in getting the system changed, is fourth at
Rounding out the top ten fraternities are Chi Psi, Kap
pa Psi, PDC, PiKa, Sigma Chi and Beta.
it is bad news for anti-Teaguers regarding the resi
dence hall point totals. With the same three sports
tabulated, Teague A is leading with 535 points, Teague
B and Stacy are tied at 505 for second and defending
champion Granville DW is fourth at 415.
Finishing out the top ten residence halls are Lewis, Eve
rett Mangum, Granville BW, Granville CW and Avery.
Participation points were changed this year, at the re
quest of the smaller fraternities who felt larger f rats had -
an advantage with more persons to choose from in enter
ing teams. There is now a new limit on the number of
teams each fraternity can enter that earn participation
These totals are not exactly up to date, according to
Karen Franklin, point system coordinator for the lM-Rec
office, because only the first three fall sports are in
cluded. The standings after three sports are:
Teague A "Syndicate"
Granville AW "69'ers"
