Devin Brouse will lose Williford, Spelman and West to graduation, but will try and re place the lost talent with a pretty good re-. cruiting class. The North Carolina men's golf team finished ninth in the NCAA golf tournament held May 26-29 at the Pinehurst Country Club in Pinehurst Led by senior co-captains Billy Williford and John Spelman, the Tar Heels finished the 72-hole event with a 1,170 total, 29 shots behind first place Houston. Coach Devin Brouse was pleased with the team's play. "Anytime you finish in the top 10 of the country you have to be happy," he said. Rain plagued the tournament the first two days and might have spoiled the Heels' bid for the opening day lead.
