NEWS Honor court nominees ok' d 90 days for protesters By ALISON DAVIS News Editor In a meeting last week, the summer session of the Campus Coverning Council approved the nominees to the 1982-1983 Undergradu ate Honor Court and the summer session Undergraduate Honor Court. The full council was scheduled to approve the 1982-1983 Honor Court in May, but post poned doing so after CGC member Garth Dunklin (District 11) said he had heard that one of the nominees had been caught steal ing. One name was brought to my attention by someone as having been involved at his place of work in thievery," Dunklin told the council. CCC speaker Bobby Vogler said this wee', he had talked with Honor Court Chairman Elizabeth Ennen and had been assured that all the nominees were thoroughly screened before their names were submitted to the CGC for approval. "Nothing had since been reported to her and if anything had they (the attorney general's staff) would definitely look it over and judge on their own," Vogler said. CGC member Jennifer Cargal (District 15) said the council was given no proof to back up the allegations. "No one has substantiated any claim against anyone from the Honor Court' Car gal said. The summer CGC also approved an 11 member Honor Court for the summer ses sions. The summer court was supposed to consist of 1 5 members, but "they haven't gotten the 15 yet," Vogler said. In other business, the summer CGC ap proved a four member Audit Board. Serving two-year terms will be Caroline B. Cockrell and Donald C. Yount. The one-year positions will be filled by Yvonne Jordan and Michael Walker. The council also approved acting Student Attorney General Leake Little. Little will serve as student Attorney General for the first session of summer school. 1 teiaie haft p-" tmmmmmtmmmmmmmmmmmmKmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmammmmm Call Day Evtnings I Wetkands J Ttrwi i 2634 chaPe Hil1 Bvd Sk LwiiJii-yik J Suite 112 v....... i Educational Center.
