Women's point system starts For the first time in six years, the IM-Rec office is organizing a women's point system for competition in the All-Campus Women's Point System Trophy. All women on campus are encouraged to become part of the overall point system, regardless of where you live. Any group that wants to compete for the trophy must have a representative register with the IM office in 203 Woollen. In order to receive points toward your unit, each en try into a particular I M activity must in dicate the unit name as well as the team name. This will make it easy for the IM staff to tabulate results. -All women's play will use two divisions competitive and recreational. A registered unit will receive the same number of points regardless of the division in which it opts to play. In general, the women's competitive division is for the more highly skills-and competitive-minded teams and individuals. The recreational division is designed for moderately skilled individuals who want to play more for recreation than for competi tion. " . ' While there is a limit to the number of teams that can receive points, there is no limit to the numer of teams that want to participate in a particular activity. For in stance, a unit may enter two teams in the competitive division for volleyball. Only one team will receive points for the point system trophy, but the other team and others are eligible to compete. The com plete rules on participation are available in the IM office. Sororities should submit a complete list of its members for the point system. All other units can form teams from dorms, off campus apartments, etc. Although, if one floor of a residence hall is competing as a unit, no one from that floor is eligible to play with another unit. For the fall, the point system activities include: Tag Football, the IM Track and Field Meet, Team Tennis, Volleyball, Soc cer, and Team Badminton. For the spring, units can compete for points in Basketball, Team Bowling, Team Table Tennis, Softball, Team Racquetball, Team Golf and the IM Swim Meet '83. Although Tag Football, Team Tennis, and the IM Track and Field Meet have already started or the deadline has passed for en try, if units submit point system entries before the sport ends retroactive points will be awarded.
