H eels face to u g h hoop schedule in 1983-84 The UNC basketball team will face another tough schedule during the 1983-84 season as it tries for a 10th consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament. The schedule announced this week, in cludes two regular-season tournaments and five exhibition games. The Tar Heels will play in the Stanford Invitational at Palo Alto, Calif., in early December and the Holiday. Festival in New York City after Christmas. They will travel to Greece over fall break to participate in a four-team in ternational tournament and will play the defending Olympic champion Yugoslavia National Team in Carmichael Auditorium on Nov. 23. Five Carolina games will be nationally -televised by NBC and CBS, with several others being broadcast on ESPN. "Sports Plus" is a 13-week series on college athletics featuring UNC Athletic Director John Swofford and veteran sportscaster Mike Patrick. The show premiered this summer on June 4 and will run through Aug. 27, according to Susan Strobel of the UNC athletic office. It is expected to return annually during the summer months.
