mopeds on campus sidewalks should attend tonights
forum with the Student Government town relations and
transportation committee, Tom Shealy, chairman of the

Shealy said he was concerned .about the lack of
response he had gotten from the students so far.
The issue of mopeds on the sidewalks was brought up
early in October by Robert Sherman, Security Services
director. Complaints from students and faculty members
concerning near-accidents involving mopeds were in
creasing, Sherman said.
No action has been decided upon yet, Sherman said.
"We're in a limbo state right now. No decisions will
be made until the Student Government has had a chance
to get some student input."
Student Government will meet with the administration

"Hopefully at that time not only will we have some
feel of what the students think of the situation, but also
the student government will have a chance to present
their ideas," Sherman said. "What we're all trying to do
is find a logical solution to what appears to be generating
