The assignment is expected to be made in one or two days. Metropolitan Edison no longer operates the two reactors at the plant. After the accident, the utility's parent company. General Public Utilities Corp. of Parsippany, N.J., formed another subsidiary, GPU Nuclear Corp., to operate the reactors. Nuclear Corp. A GPU Nuclear official said Monday the company hadn't had an opportunity to study the indictment. "Given the limitations imposed on us by the restric tions of the grand jury procedure, we have been unable to fully investigate the matter thus far," said Doug Bedell, a spokesman for GPU Nuclear Corp. "However, the policy of the Metropolitan Edison Co. has always been to operate in accordance with the . conditions of its license and applicable regulations." Rose a former Cvc member said tnat the coali tion disbanded after the 1931 municipal elections and he discredited Gurganus' remarks. Rose said in the 1981 elections the ABC had opposi tion from the CCC and that this year the ABC is try ing to "set up a straw man to knock down." Rose said that' the ABC was worried because of alleged budget manipulations by mayoral candidate White. He said the ABC was trying to implicate that the CCC was not on-"' ' :-..-r-- ncV -. -v. According to Kennedy, the coalition does exist and will be active in the 1985 municipal elections. ' "He (Rose) is under the wrong impression of it (the existence of the CCC)," Kennedy said. Porto said of the whole controversy that the ABC has not disbanded and the coalition does not exist. "1 am independent. I am my own man. I take orders from no one," he said.
