The case will be assigned to a federal judge in Har

Metropolitan Edison no longer operates the two
reactors at the plant. After the accident, the utility's
parent company. General Public Utilities Corp. of
Parsippany, N.J., formed another subsidiary, GPU
Nuclear Corp., to operate the reactors.
Nuclear Corp. A GPU Nuclear official said Monday
the company hadn't had an opportunity to study the
indictment.
"Given the limitations imposed on us by the restric
tions of the grand jury procedure, we have been
unable to fully investigate the matter thus far," said
Doug Bedell, a spokesman for GPU Nuclear Corp.
"However, the policy of the Metropolitan Edison
Co. has always been to operate in accordance with the
. conditions of its license and applicable regulations."
Rose a former Cvc member said tnat the coali
tion disbanded after the 1931 municipal elections and
he discredited Gurganus' remarks.
Rose said in the 1981 elections the ABC had opposi
tion from the CCC and that this year the ABC is try
ing to "set up a straw man to knock down."
Rose said that' the ABC was worried because of
alleged budget manipulations by mayoral candidate
White. He said the ABC was trying to implicate that
the CCC was not on-"' ' :-..-r-- ncV -. -v.
According to Kennedy, the coalition does exist and
will be active in the 1985 municipal elections. '
"He (Rose) is under the wrong impression of it (the
existence of the CCC)," Kennedy said.
Porto said of the whole controversy that the ABC
has not disbanded and the coalition does not exist.
"1 am independent. I am my own man. I take
orders from no one," he said. "They (ABC can
didates) will take orders from ABC organizers."
