From Associated Press Reports WASHINGTON By a 76-19 vote, the Senate Thursday approved $61.7 million in emergency aid for El Salvador and $21 million for anti Sandinista guerrillas in Nicaragua. The aid provoked strong opinions in the Senate with Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass. saying, "The Senate has voted for wider war in El serious resistance to the expansion of Soviet power in our hemisphere." The bill now goes to the Democrat controlled House which will have only three working days to consider it before beginning a 10-day faster recess next week.
