plans voter registration drives, volunteer work at
Orange County Democratic headquarters and a
possible campus visit by Edmisten.

Marshall, said Monday that Edmisten campus
workers will meet every other week until the Nov.
6 election and will assist in the Democratic unity

Kelly Kelier, a junior from Sanford who acted as
UNC coordinator for Edmisten's campaign during the
primary season in the spring, is heading the statewide
college campus effort and hopes to get candidate
receptions at the different campuses before the

A spokesman for Southern Bell
declined comment on the testimony.
"Dr. Wilson is one of the foremost
independent utility experts in the
United States," Attorney General
Rufus Edmisten said Monday in
releasing Wilson's testimony. "He
found that at least 90 percent of
Southern Bell's rate increase request
should be denied. That means Bell
is entitled to no more than a 2.5
percent rate increase."
