Academically inclined students can get more out of
UNC than what they learn in class. The University offers
a plethora of academic organizations, one which is sure
to be right for any student.
Through the organizations students can meet others
with the same interests, and also obtain information
relating to their major in many cases.
There are groups that offer business contacts,
experienced advice in a student's chosen field, and just
someone else to talk with about common goals. Some
groups are designed for certain majors. Some are simply
open for anyone interested in a field of study.
Many groups invite professionals to speak to their'
members. Some hold workshops to help the members.
It's all here for little more than interest and a small
time commitment.
