Students with an inclination toward politics either
as a vocation or avocation will .find the University
fertile ground for political activity.
Whether the student wants to be a part of a national
political campaign or just the campus governing
council doesn't matter; from the Young Democrats
to the College Republicans to Student Government,
students have a number of opportunities to make

Honorary, scholastic and service organizations do
things ranging from recognizing academic excellence to
protecting Gingko trees.
This range is reflected by the large number of
organizations existing here, each with its own purpose
and looking for genuinely interested students.
By joining service organizations students help
themselves and help others at the same time. Honorary
organizations do much to help others, but most have
qualifications that must be met before a student can
join. In many cases these serve as incentives for students
to work harder.
Many times students join these organizations to foster
their own education. But in most cases students have
a desire to try and change things for the better."
