Pi Kaps Expand Donation by Eric Tellef sen and Reggie Carpenter Burn Out 9. the annual fund raising event held by P1 Kappa Ph1 , will take place on Friday afternoon, April 12th. Every year, through the sales of T shlrts and donations from fraternities and sororities, we have been able to make a donation to the North Carolina Burn Center of between $1000 to $2000. In the past a portion of the money raised has been used to cover the costs. This year, though, P1 Kappa Phi has acquired the sponsorship of radio station, WZZU, 94Z . They have agreed to cover the majority of the costs for the year's event. What this means 1s that P1 Kappa Phi will be free to give almost all of the money made from donations and T shirt sales to the Burn Center, which should provide an approximate contribution of $5000. This 1s something that we feel the Pi Kapps, the Greek system and the student body can be proud of. This year's event will feature the musical talents of Warner Brothers recording artist Marshall Crenshaw. In addition to this first ever national act will be the third annual Hawaiian Tropic bikini contest. Admission 1s free, but we need your support to make this year's Burn Out a success. So go to Johnny T-Sh1rt, buy your Burn Out shirts and send your donations to the Pi Kappa Ph1 house so that we can help the North Carolina Burn Center,' not Just as a fraternity, but as a representative of the Greek system and the entire student body.
