Jones said the University's funding

37 percent from state appropria

Jones' office also monitors the
Endowment Fund, which was $107
million as of Nov. 30, 1986. "Outside
managers are responsible for 85
percent of the Fund, and we are a
resource to the Endowment Board,
which has final authority in how the
money will be invested."
Jones said his office is looking into
ways to automatically transfer stu
dent aid awards to students' records
to eliminate lines during the award
period. Also, a computerized regis
tration system is being considered to
