Maryland earns From Associated Press reports GREENSBORO One year after failing to win an Atlantic Coast Conference game, the University of Maryland is bound for the NCAA post-season basketball tournament. Maryland, 17-12, was one of five ACC teams chosen by the NCAA Tournament's selection committee. The Terrapins were made the seventh seed in the Southeast bracket and will play California-Santa Barbara Fri day in Cincinnati. "I'm very happy and very excited," said Coach Bob Wade by telephone from his office in Cole Field House. Tm extremely happy for the kids.
