Sophomore Mallory May (left) models a cocktail dress by Gurtne Sax ($112) in the Grand Ballroom of the Carolina Inn. Nautical fashions have made a comeback this season in soft pastels and crisp primary colors. Below left, Mallory May and sophomore Tom Brodman make a dockside appearance at Uni versity Lake. May's outfit is by Herman Geist (jacket $68, skirt $79, tank top $48). Brodman wears a cotton jacket ($155), shorts ($30) and shirt ($40) from the Polo Shop at Ivey's. Below right, sophomore Blake Davenport wears the new colors for men this spring with a blue Polo ($32) and plaid shorts ($44) by Alexander Julian.
