Campus Calendar
The DTH Campus Calendar is a daily
listing of University-related activities
sponsored by academic departments,
student services and student organiza
tions officially recognized by the Divi
sion of Student Affairs. To appear in
Campus Calendar, announcements
must be submitted on the Campus
Calendar form by NOON one business
day before the announcement is to run.
Saturday and Sunday events are printed
in Friday's calendar and must be sub
mitted on the Wednesday before the
announcement is to run. Forms and a
drop box are located outside the DTH
office, 104 Union. Items of Interest
lists ongoing events from the same
campus organizations and follows the
same deadline schedule as Campus
Calendar. Please use the same form.
TUESDAY
Noon: The Institute for Research
in Social Science will hold "Women's
Memoirs of the French Revolution"
with Marilyn Yalom of Stanford in Toy
Lounge of Dey Hall.
. 2 p.m.: IRSS will hold "S AS FSP"
with Jose Sandoval, IRSS Data Entry
Short Courses in 02 Manning Hall until
3:30 p.m.
4 p.m.: IRSS will hold "Asymmet
ric Maximum Likelihood, Regression
Percentiles and Overdispersion" with
Bradley Efron of Stanford in 324 Phil

Placement Services will hold an In

4:30 p.m.: UCPPS will hold Job
Hunt 101: Basic information on how to
use the UCPPS office for seniors and
graduate students in 210 Hanes Hall.
Alpha Phi Omega (APO) will spon
sor a gift of life bloodmobile in
Carmichael Residence Hall until 8:30

4:45 p.m.: The UNC Entrepre
neurs Club will meet at the Kenan
Center. All interested students are
encouraged to attend.
5 p.m.: The Communications Com
mittee of student government will

5:15 p.m.: The Alliance of Black
Graduate and Professional Students
will have a general body meeting in 209

5:45 p.m.: The Anglican Student
Fellowship will meet at the Chapel of

6 p.m.: The Human Rights Week
Publicity Committee will meet in the
Campus Y. All welcome.
7 p.m.: UCPPS will hold a presen
tation by James R. Worrell Agency in ,
209 Hanes Hall.
The GCS Christian Fellowship will
have its weekly leadership training
meeting in 226 Union. All are wel
come. The UNC Investments Club ishold
ing its introductory meeting inT-7 New

ITEMS OF INTEREST
UCPPS: Students interested in quali
fying for positions with the National
Security Agency must take the PQT
Exam on Oct. 28, 1989. (Register by
Oct. 13, 1989). Booklets are available
in 21 1 Hanes Hall. The PQT Exam is
NOT required for students majoring in
math, computer science, Slavic, Asian
or Middle Eastern languages.
The Graduate and Professional
Student Federation offers informa
tion on the in-state tuition application
process. Check the bulletin board out
side Suite D in the Union for details.
UCPPS is collecting all resumes of
seniors interested in -working for non
profit organizations after graduation.
Bring your resume to 21 1 Hanes Hall
between Oct. 16, 1989, and Jan. 19,
1990, for inclusion in a book from
UNC, NCSU, NCCU and Duke to be
sent to NPOs.
Hanes Art Center Glass Gallery:
There will be a group exhibition of
artworks featuring The Fine Arts De
partment Faculty of Wake Forest Uni
versity. The show will run through Oct.
20, 1989.
Student Government Tutoring
Program will offer FREE tutoring in
Econ 10; Chem 11; Stat 11 and 23;
French; Spanish; and Math 22, 30 and
