The Daily Tar HeelThursday, November 2, 19899 ' Campus Calendar The DTH Campus Calendar is a daily listing of University related activities sponsored by academic departments, student services and student organiza tions officially recognized by the Divi sion of Student Affairs. To appear in Campus Calendar, announcements must be submitted on the Campus Calendar form by NOON one business day before the announcement is to run. Saturday and Sunday events are printed in Friday's calendar and must be sub mitted on the Wednesday before the announcement is to run. Forms and a drop box are located outside the DTH office, 104 Union. Items of Interest lists ongoing events from the same campus organizations and follows the same deadline schedule as Campus Streakers ! truck said, 'What the hell is going on? We're missing five pledges.' '. "I said, 'Two of them just got hauled ayvay by the campus police. The third one's getting ready to go to the emer gency room.' The person inside the ttjick responded, 'Goddamn! How the hell can they get caught?' Then they tiirned the truck around and left without getting out." I- Senior Eileen Dordek, a Kappa Delta njember, also witnessed part of the ejent. 'There were cars outside the sOrority and my window was open. I hfcard some people screaming, 'Get in tfie house!' I heard sirens across the street, and some friends and I went over t6 the planetarium. While we were standing near the police cars and the ambulance, two guys in a car drove up to us and we went up to them and said, 'One of your pledges fell and hurt himself and two more are in a police car.' The driver of the car said, 'We knew three of them were missing. Then they drove off without approaching the police cars or ambulance." King also said the incident was not a hazing activity of the fraternity. "It was not pledge-related. We did it just for the hell of it." Sterling Gilreath, president of the Inter-Fraternity Council, said he knew little about the incident. "I have not Calvin and Hobbes kL RIGHT, CLASS, MO YKNLD UKE TO GWE WIS Doonesbury HELLO? MAY!
