Baptist Meetings Tiie Vales Baptist Association has two meetings scheduled for this; I week, one in Chatham County at j line Olive Chapel Baptist Church mi Tuesday night, July 18. and 'one at University Baptist Church, [chapel Hill, on Friday night, July 21. Tuesday night is the time for the quarterly Sunday School meeting with conferences scheduled for the leaders in the churches of the various Sunday School age-groups. Several state convention workers! will be coming from Raleigh to as-j sist, including the Rev. Richard Smith for pastors and superintend ents. the Rev Jack Bagwell for adult leaders, and Mrs. Ottis Nag ler for beginner workers. An emphasis will be placed on the Southern Baptist standard for Sunday schools On Friday night at the Univer sity Baptist Church, there will be a training session for the workers for the religious survey to he taken of the area noith of Chapel Hill during the next few weeks Charles B Parker of the South eastern Baptist Seminary at Wake Forest, the Rev. H. S. Mumford, supt. of missions of the Yates As sociation, and the Rev. Ernest C. Upchurch, secretary of the dept of church development, Raleigh, will be present to give instruction Scores of workers from the churches ot the association will be needed on successive weeks. Each worker wi! bo asked to visit from 10 to 20 homes.
