Some of the girls failed to take advantage ot the offer made last week, thinking possibly that a better offer was coming. We wish to assure all contestants that this offer of votes is greater than will be offered next week, and to warn them to turn in all their subscriptions just as soon as possi ble, thereby securing the advantage of the increas ed offer. Bonus votes will decide the winners of the big prizes in this Contest, so do not fail to secure sev eral of these clubs, as you are bound to need the certificates. Clubs may be composed of subscriptions for any length of time, just so the amount is six dollars or more. The Livingston Piano. Double veneered inside and out; height 4 feet8 inches; width 5 feet 2 inches; depth 2 feet 3 inches; full seven and one-third octaves; ivory keys and polished ebony sharps; full swinging duet music desk; carved panels; hard wood back; full metal frame; bushed tuning pins; French capstan repeating action; fine materials throughout; three pedals; case handsomely polished. "You never can tell." Bernard Shaw made that sentence famous. And it is true, "you never can tell." The Commonwealth's contestants can vouch for the truth of the phrase. It may be that some of them figure that they are holding enough reserve votes to win out. This is the greatest delusion our leaders espe cially one can entertain. The slightest slackening of interest at this time will prove fatal, as there is a surging, aggressive energy, urging many to fight to the last ditch, and these will surprise their sisters ere the race is over. No available time should be lost in lining up your friends for yearly subscrip tions. Hundreds of people are only to eager to help if any of the contestants are wondering why none of them come to see them and solicit their valuable support. It is generally conceded that the greatest joys are those which come as the result of our own effort, and to those who win out in the great race will come the added satisfaction of merit rewarded. kmm-miumi ksg HUB itf prt md mm hi 4 .
