w THE WILMINGTON DISEATCfl: SUNDAY; MA?; 19, !9T8- 4 ' i 1 ! i j i m 1 i - -T-m "v Royal Hat aJTreat., - After a week's vacation. Royal pa mav whet their appetites :Wfor .keen treat during thewhole; of ;the. coming wees, who iub .pre8en.taupa of one o: the best known musical nmedy shows of the entire season a choV that has just returned from a long toirf y- the middle westlaying tiroosh Oklahoma, Kansas and Ar kaasa3 a solid season to successful business. -V;,-,'- E. F. Mersereau is the producer of this show and it is presented with Miss Lottie LeClaire in the leading joles. Miss LeClaire is a musical comery actress of known qualified tions and has appeared in some of the big road companies for many sea sons. At the head of her own show, The Mile-a-Minute Girls,"' all the artistry that she gave with her past performances comes within the reach C patrons of the Royal. A distinct feature with this show ; the Pullman Quartette, the best harmonv singing vocalists ever pre sented at the Royal. Harry Pepper and Bob Oswald in the comedy leads, and a chorus composed of six comely maidens, together with Miss Viola Pepper in specialty singing and danc- ine gives this show some of 016 DlS gest specialties seen here during the season. The serial chapters which were missed during the past week will be presented during this week as usual. Billie Burke. Billie Burke in "Mysterious Miss Terry" is a rare treat for Grand pa trons the last two days of the coming Her's is a wonderful appeal be cause of her inimitable magnetism, and it is said without fear of contra diction that Burke pictures will be sought after as favorites by all mo tion picture lovers. Then, too, Paramount has provided her with a vehicle in "The Mysteri ous Miss Terry" that is precisely fit ted for her best latent qualifications. She has opportunities galore to dis play what a talented scheen come dienne she really is, something, she ha never been enabled to do before becaue of the proper story. Gelett Burges, one of the best biown authors and humorists, wrote this story, and if he had had Miss Burke in mind at the time he could not have done a solitary bit better. It is conceded his best work, -and he limself is delighted that Miss Burke is to play the part of Mavi Terry, which he says "is my pet character." Every person in the world loves mystery. Even the youngsters want ed to be detectives; the elders can always solve the most mystical things. And it's natural. Everyone loves rhysterious things. In this pro duction every one will get their fill in such measure that they will find it the most delightful entertainment they have ever attended. Wonders have been accomplished in the settings of this production. Mystery stories need mysterious set tingsthe type of thing that will keep .people on edge. Well, they are pro vided here in an overflowing abund ance. J. Searle Dawley directed this pro duction, and everyone in the industry knows that what he does is stamped ua penecuon. He was the man who directed Marguerite Clark in most of her big successes, particular ly mat oi "Snow White," and he has more than excelled himself in this Picture. Effects in photography have been attained that astonish the most tntical. J". !.. T . : -.. i. . . . it A .. ..dill -Av.v v.:.v v .'A-.i: -.v.-, TV.v.v t - .
