C. Step Mrs. Siler Named Gardens Club Head Mrs. Grady Siler was elected to the presidency of the Franklin Gar dens 'Club to succeed Mrs. D. D. Rice, who resigned, at a meeting last week at the flo.ne of Mrs. F. S. Johnston. Sixteen members were present. It was suggested that the young people of Franklin be urged td plant gardens and that a prize be offered for the best garden.. But with cold weather coming on, meet ings, of the club will be discontin ued until March, 1933. In the meantime, all who are interested in flowers are invited to join the crab and to prepare now for a fine ex hibit at the next flower show. Miss Elizabeth Deal left the lat ter part of last week for Western Carolina Teachers' College where she will continue work toward a B. S. degree. . .
