B. Higdon, a certain deed of trust,
the same ibeing recorded in Deed
Book 32 at page 370 of Macon
County Records, and whereas, the
said Thomas J. Johnston, Trustee'
as aforesaid, 'has died and the und
ersigned as his surviving widow, has
been duly appointed and has qual
ified as his administratrix, and
whereas, default has been made in
the payment of the indebtedness
secured by said deed of trust and
in the conditions therein contained,
and demand was made on the und
ersigned by T. B. Higdon to sell
the property therein described; and
whereas, after due advertisement,
sale of said property was had on
August 3, -1936, at the court house
door in Franklin, at which sale said
property was bid off for the sum
of $250.00 by T. B. Higdon; and
whereas, said bid has been raised
by the amount of ten per cent
thereof by H. L. Bryant and an
order of re-sale has been issued by
the Clerk of the Superior Court:

ersigned as administratrix of T. J.
Johnston and successor trustee in
said deed of trust, will sell on
Monday, September 14, 1936, at the
Court House door in the Town of
Franklin, at or about, 3:00 o’clock,
I P. M., to the highest bidder for
cash, the following described prop
erty :
BEGINNING at a point on the
north side of East Main Street,
in the Town of Franklin, at the
southeast corner of the lot de
scribed in a deed from J. A. Porter
to H. G. Robertson and .now oc
cupied by F. H. Higdon, and run
ning thence east along the north
side of Main Street eighty (80)
feet, more or less., to the south
west corner of the W. L. Higdon
residence lot; thence running with
the line of said lot north twenty
(20) degrees west five hundred and
forty (540) feet to a stake; thence
running with the Ed Carpenter lot
south seventy (70) degrees west
seventy (70) feet, more or less, to
a stake; thence rxmning south
twenty (20) degrees east seventy-
six (76) feet to a stake; thence
running south seventy (70) degrees

the line of said H. G. Robertson

Nobia Murray, dated May 23, 1929,
and recorded in the Office of Reg
ister of Deeds for Macon County,
in Book No. 31, of M,ortgages and
Deeds of Trust, Page 195, and de
fault having been made in the pay
ment of the amount secured by said
deed of trust and demand 'having
been made on the undersigned
trustee by the holders of the notes
representing said indebtedness, that
the power of sale contained in said
deed of trust be exercised:
The undersigned trustee will,
therefore' on Tuesday, the 8th day
of September, 1936, at 12 o’clock,
noon, at the court house door in
the Town of Franklin, Macon
County, North Carolina, sell at pub
lic auction, to the highest bidder
for cash, the following described
property, being the same property
described and set out in the deed
