The bride received lovely and useful gifts from friends who attended. CAFE MOVES Satulah Cafe, managed by J. E, Rideout, and until recently located in the Rice & Thomson building on Main St., was moved last week to the former location of “Harold’s Cafe,” also on Main Street. REVIVAL CONTINUES The revival meeting continues at Ridgecrest this week. Special »er- vices were held at the home of Mrs. Harriette Sanders Sunday eve ning. Mrs. Sanders, 94 years old, cannot attend church services, but, as in her .usual custom during a revival, has at least one service at her home. RABY to TEACH INDIANS SINGING J. M. Raby, the popclar vocalist and music teacher, left Monday for Smokemont, where he will t»ach a class for two weeks. Mr, Raiby has future engagements to teach three singing schools among the Chero- kees in the Reservation. Mrs. Z. D. Buchanan, who has been quite ill for several weeks, is slightly improved. Mrs. Jacobs, a daughter from Asheville, is spend ing this week with Mrs. Buch anan. J. R. Berry expects to have his mill in operation by middle of this week. Repairs have taken longer than was expected. His numerous customers will be glad. He serves many. Kelsie Frady is in Gastonia on business this week. TAKES 9,000 PENNIES BALTIMORE, MD. — A bank, containing 9,000 pennies, was stolen from ^Irs. Elsie Hill, of this city, by John Norris, 26, who had been befriended by Mrs. Hill. The coins, which had been accumulated by Mrs. Hill over a period of several years, were found buried in the woods a short distance from the home. Frank Cook is at his home here again after a few days stay in Angel hospital, Franklin, after a minor operation there last week. Miss Rebecca Bridges has closed her summer home and returned to Thomasville, Ga., for the winter. Dr. and Mrs. W. 0. Carson are occupying Miss NalVs ho.use on Sunset road and expect to be there during the winter. Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Rainwater and Miss Martha Edmondson, who again occupied the Hager house on Sunset road during the past season, closed the house Monday and re turned to their home in Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Edwards and Estelle Edwards were visiting rela tives in Dillard Sunday. Mrs. Tom Hunt, of Franklin, was in Highlands on business Monday. Louis Edwards, Clemson college student, was visiting his parents at Hotel Edwards here during the week-end. He was accompanied by a fellow student, Mr. Floyd, who seemed to enjoy his visit very and Mrs. Jack Hall were recently visiting Mrs. Hall’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rucker, at their home in Hartwell, S. L. Mrs. Florence Thomson and hrecl Thomson, of Anderson, S. C,, were at Mrs. Thomson’s cottage here over the week-end. Miss Rebecca Nall left Thursday for Washington, D. C, where she expects to spend the winter. T B.
