ARRENDALE TO RECEIVE DOCTOR'S DEGREE Invitation to the commencement exercises of the University of Georgia School, of Medicine on June 9 in Augusta has been re ceived from Joe J. Arrendale, A. B., M. D., who takes his degree at this time. Dr. Arrendale spent last sum mer in Franklin as an assistant at Angel hospital during his vaca tion. He is the son of John t Ar rendale, a former farm agent in Macon county, and Mrs. Arrendale, and spent part of his boyhood in Franklin. His many friends con gratulate him on the attainment of his degree of Doctor of Medicine. Wilkie, has returned to his base at Corpus Christi, Texas, after visiting his mother in Frank lin and his sisters in Asheville. Billy volunteered for service last June and was first sent to New port News, Va. He is in training for aeronautical mechanic. He has just reached his' 21st birthday.
