Mrs. W. T. Moore, president, presided over the business session and plans were made for a Bunco party to be held at Kelly's Tea Room on Saturday, February 14, with the proceeds to he give to Red Crass War Relief. George Evans of the U, S. Navy now stationed on the U. S. S. Texas has recently left Norfolk, Va. He has been in the Navy several years. Corporal Lawrence Elliott , of the U. S. Army in Georgia, is spending ten days with his father, C. L. Bateman of Oak Dale. Robert Leonard Tallent, better known as "Bob", has volunteered for the U. S: Marines and is now stationed at Parris Island, S. C. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tallent of Franklin. He has been employed at the Petitte Shoe Shop in Brevard for the past 18 months.
