National Forest# Deer, Bear and Boar Hunting Wild boar hunting on San teetlah Wildlife Management Area begins October 15 and con tinues' for two-day periods through December 29 as fol lows: October 15-16, 18-19,22-23, 25-26, 29-30' and December 20 21, 26-27, 22-29. Twelve bear and boar hunts are scheduled for , Santeetlah as follows: November 1-2, 5-6, 8-9, 12-13, 15-16, 19-20, j 22-23, 26-27, 29-30, and Decern- j ber 3-4, 6-7, 10-11. 1 For vie Pisgah Big Game Hunt (Bear and male Deeri the season ofi is November 12 and runs through November 24 with hunting o'.eiyday except Sun day. The hunts consist of the Mam Hu.it, Pisgah Ledge Hunt and wilderness Hunts. Turner, Recruiting and Induction Of ficer for the State, announced recently that former non-com missioned officers who would like tc return to the Army with their old rank could do so if they were honorably discharg ed since *?luy 12, 1945, and if tluy re-c.. listed by October 25. The men who desire to take advantage of this opportunity must be physically examined, processed and actually . in the Army by October 25. Because of the distance from processing centers, this means that men should apply by October 21 to 23. Headquarters District Number Two today sought to bring the change in policy to the atten tion of all former non-commis sioned officers. The obvious ad vantage is that any man re enlisting after the deadline must do so as a private. If he held a rating such as master sergeant, buck sergeant or cor poral and is eligible for rein statement, he should apply be lore October 25.
