day night in Waynesville.
E. A. Wayne, vice-president of
the Federal Reserve bank, Rich
mond, Va., was the principal
speaker of the evening, and the
meeting was presided over by
R. L. Cherry, manager of the
Charlotte branch of the Feder
al Reserve bank.
Chief topic of the evening's
discussion was means by which
farmers and banks can work to
gether to bring about a more
stable economy.

ton, D. C., and the Rev. Herbert
Brown, former pastor of the
Bryson City Baptist church, it
has been announced.
Mr. Miles is an experienced
worker with young people and
will also serve in the capacity
cf song leader.
Services will begin at 8 o'clock
each evening.
