Widow of Charles T Byrd were held 'ai 11 o'clock ' Friday morning at the Gillespie Methodist churcji j with the Rev. R L Poindcx ter and the Rev. P. E. Bingham officating. Mrs. Byrd, a resident of the ] Prentiss Community, was the j former Miss Sarah Laii Hod gins. She died at her hom< last Thursday morning after an illness of three months. Surviving are four sons George Carter Byrd and John Byrd, of Concrete, Wash., and William ByrcJ of Prentiss: two j daughters, Mrs. Claude Ledford and Mrs. J. D. Hastings, of Prentiss; one sister, Mrs. J. T. Watts, cf Prentiss; one brother, Charles R. Hodgins, of Prentiss; and 18 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
